In the fall of 2007 several members of the 7th Avenue community decided to meet together to read and discuss books about God, the Christian faith, and interfaith concerns. They invited Parish Associate Joan Huff to meet with them as her schedule permits. A core group continues to meet twice-a-month on Monday evenings in the Community Room of Park Sunset Apartments from 7 to 8:30 pm. They have read books by Bishop Spong, Karen Armstrong, Walter Wink, James Watt, Sara Miles and others. They choose what to read by consensus and put announcements in the weekly bulletin with details, inviting all who are interested to join in the lively discussions. Your presence would be most welcome.
