Jenna Meyers, Pastoral Associate
Jenna received her Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion and Philosophy from Cornell College, Mount Vernon, IA.
For Jenna, social justice and the spiritual life flow into one another. Alongside her ministry at Seventh Avenue Church, Jenna is also a Domestic Violence Response Advocate at Center for Domestic Peace in Marin County, CA.
Jenna is wired as a theologian and contemplative artist. She studied painting at Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art, Bretagne, France and blends non-objective painting and other forms of art with spiritual practice. Jenna is a liturgical leader and facilitator of the Women’s Spirituality group for Seventh Avenue Church. She co-leads Seventh Avenue’s retreats throughout the year. And she is the pastoral liaison to the Children's Ministry Program and Mission Team.
Prior to coming to San Francisco, Jenna was Director of Children’s Ministry at Green Mountain Presbyterian Church, Lakewood, CO and served as a chaplain at Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center, Denver, CO. Joyfully committed to interfaith understanding, she worked on projects for the Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions and served as an advocate for refugee families with Ecumenical Refugee and Immigration Services.
