Perspectives: Non-Violence

We are excited to welcome Rod Swanson to teach our next Perspectives two-part class at 11:30AM! March 2nd we will look at Stanford University - King Center’s inaugural digital course. Nonviolence365® Masterclass Edition which provides insight into Dr. Martin Luther King’s Nobel Peace Prize-winning strategy to prepare people across the globe to embrace nonviolence as a lifestyle and as a vehicle for social change.

March 9th we will look at Walter Wink’s Jesus and Nonviolence: A Third Way. In this small book Wink offers a summary of his thinking about the relation of Jesus and his message to politics and nonviolence, the history of nonviolent efforts, and nonviolence as an alternative to the dominant and death-dealing "powers" of our consumerist culture and fractured world.
